It's been a happy birthday with visits from Jason (from McGill), Zoe (from Kelowna), and Caroline. They made a cake and came by to say happy birthday. Andy also dropped by with a DVD player for my computer.

The best birthday present has been a continued rise in neutrophils since the 5th. Tests show that the infections are under control, and the mucositis (which made eating difficult) is starting to subside. So I'm able to eat more now, although it's still mostly soups and other liquid foods. I can expect a platter of mashed potatoes and minced turkey for Thanksgiving tomorrow.

Hi, Steve, Caroline, Jason, and Zoe! Happy Thanksgiving from Rome. Steve, we are happy about your wbc's and neutrophils and that you are able to have potatoes and turkey for Thanksgiving. We really enjoyed our short stay in Greece, especially the beautiful scenery of Santorini. We were thinking of you as we toured your parents homeland. Keep getting stronger. God bless! With love, Vicky and Dennis

Hi Dr. Steve,
ReplyDeleteIt’s great to hear that your WBC’s are returning and you’re feeling better. I hope you got to enjoy some turkey for Thanksgiving. That’s quite the picture of you and Fred with the Team Coastal riders. I can’t imagine they have that many helmets, noisy cleats and Spandex suits in the building very often. I hope your cell numbers continue to improve and am really looking forward to seeing you in the pool, on the bike or out on the slopes again soon.
Hi Steve
ReplyDeleteI'm disappointed you don't have your own personal pharmacist in addition to all the other 'staff' at your disposal! I look forward to having you back in the pool soon. Get well...we miss you.
